Community Care Assistant

What we are looking for………

We are looking for individuals that wish to work in the Community assisting vulnerable adults with their day to day life to promote and encourage their independence and general well-being.
You will be responsible for assisting individuals with their personal care needs, this can be washing, showering and bathing. Assisting with dressing and working in a person centred way.
You will also be responsible for prompting and overseeing medication, ear drops and eye drops. Recording and reporting in daily care plans.
You may be required to prepare and serve breakfast, dinner and tea, offering suitable choices throughout. In some cases you may be required to assist individuals to eat and drink.

(Shopping and domestic duties may also be required)

What you can expect from us

You must have a car with a valid licence, a smartphone and live within 10 miles of Penzance

Morning shifts start at 07.00-14.00

Afternoon/Evening shifts 16.00-22.00

You must also be prepared to work on an every-other weekend basis.
You must be hard-working, honest, reliable, flexible, and willing to undertake all training required and you must achieve this in the time given.
You must be able to work under pressure and be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
You must have good knowledge of the local area and be able to navigate well.
You must be respectful and empathetic towards an individual's needs and wishes.
